حذرت مصلحة الأرصاد الجوية الفيدرالية الأميركية، الأحد 27 أغسطس/آب، من أن تأثيرات الإعصار هارفي الذي تسبب بفيضانات كارثية في شرق تكساس وهيوستن، كبرى مدن الولاية، هي "الأسوأ"، مشيرة الى أن الأحوال الجوية الراهنة تعد "غير مسبوقة".
